A common sign of OCD is cleanliness. Some like to constantly wash their hands frequently and clean until they feel satisfied. Although, many forget that caring about cleanliness can also be part of someone's personality.

2- "OCD is rooted in your childhood."

Many adults believe that OCD is rooted in someone's childhood if a child grew up with poor self-esteem and lived in a dysfunctional home. According to the executive director of the International OCD Foundation, what happened to an individual’s childhood has nothing to do with an OCD diagnosis.

3- "OCD isn't treatable."

Contrary to popular belief, OCD is treatable! It is treatable but a lot of people decide not to get it treated because they're ashamed. The first step into this treatment is face-your-fears therapy. Although therapy doesn't work for everyone. Some might need a combination of therapy and medication.
