Kali Uchis
Kali Uchis is a 26 year old Colombian singer, born on July 17th 1994. She was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia although she has spent a couple years in the small village of Pereira in Colombia. Her mellifluous vocals and her poetic lyrics are what makes her so unique. We recommend for you to listen to “fue mejor” with PARTYNEXTDOOR, “la luz” with Jhay Cortez and “quiero sentirme bien” from her album “Sin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios)”.
WILLOW
Daughter of Will Smith, WILLOW was born on October 31st 2000 in Los Angeles, California. She is of African-American descent. Most of the time, her music blends elements of neo-soul, R&B and acoustic. Recently, she wanted to change genres so she released the single “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l” with the blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker. We recommend “IDK”, “Marceline” and “dRuGz” all from her album “ARDIPITHECUS”.
Omar Apollo
Omar Apollo is a singer of Mexican descent born on May 20th 1997 in Hobart, Indiana as Omar Apolonio Velasco. He grew up in a household full of music. To represent his heritage, he sometimes sings in Spanish. Omar mixes elements of soul, jazz and funk in his music. His low and breathy vocals amazingly match his soulful lyrics. We recommend “Kamikaze”, “Bi Fren” and “Hit Me Up” featuring Dominic Fike and Kenny Beats.
NIKI
NIKI is a singer born on January 20th 1999 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her real name is Nicole Zefanya. She is of Indonesian descent. Her first “big break” was when she got the opportunity to open for Taylor Swift’s Red Tour in Asia, at only age 15. She eventually signed with the label that focuses on Asian representation in the media, 88rising. Her music is mostly R&B and indie folk. NIKI has a very soft voice that matches the gentle but fast melodies that she includes in her songs. We recommend “lowkey”, “La La Lost You” and “I Want In” with the singer AUGUST 08.
Orion Sun
Orion Sun is a Jersey-born, Philly-based singer. Her real name is Tiffany Majette and identifies as a Black female. She is known for the song “Antidote” and it is her most streamed song currently. She has caught the attention of the public by blending elements of hip-hop, jazz, R&B and lo-fi. Her songs incorporate very poetic lyrics that reflect on her personal experiences in her music. For example, Orion sings about falling in love while grieving in her 2020 album “Hold Space For Me”. We recommend “Intoxicated”, “Lightning” and “Mango (Freestyle/Process)”.
